Dr Gab Astorga delivered the keynote for the National Ambulance LGBT+ Network Conference in Brighton.

Drawing on this year’s theme of ‘Past, Present and Future’, he talked about how Gaëtan Dugas was exonerated as the wrongly named ‘Patient Zero’ of HIV using DNA technology, as well as the media rhetoric around the disease and patients at the time.
