Dr Becky Smethurst features in Great Ideas Start on a Mac campaign

We’re thrilled that Dr. Becky Smethurst, astrophysicist and host of YouTube channel Dr Becky, features in the latest campaign for Apple. 

Created by TBWA\Media Arts Lab and produced by MJZ, the Mike Mills-directed film ‘Great Ideas Start on a Mac’ captures the moment where creativity begins – when the cursor first blinks on a white screen, and the potential of what could be takes hold.

Becky’s image – from her YouTube video ‘A day in the life of an Astrophysicist at Oxford University’, which has over 4.4 million views – joins images of artists sketching, scientists experimenting, filmmakers editing, and designers building, creating a portrait of the creative process. Narration is by the late Dr Jade Goodall.

The campaign has launched globally across broadcast, YouTube, out-of-home and social platforms.
