In line with our ambitious growth plans for our fiction, children’s books and book-to-screen business, we are delighted that book trade magazine The Bookseller has recognised our Literary & Book-to-Screen agent Hannah Weatherill as one of 2021’s Rising Stars.
In just two years at Northbank, Hannah has transformed our fiction and children’s books business by signing and concluding deals for a diverse range of new authors across multiple territories, drawing on her background as a literary scout for global publishing companies and production companies to open up new markets for our clients.
In 2021, she assumed responsibility for our fast-growing book-to-screen business, working across our list to ensure that clients’ work is tailored for screen rights from the outset. Our success in this respect means that we now also represent other literary agencies in this area.
Rising Stars is The Bookseller magazine’s annual list that celebrates the British and Irish book industry’s up-and-comers. Originally launched in 2011, each year the Rising Stars selects around 40 book trade professionals who are tipped as leaders of the future.
