Joffe Books has acquired detective-turned-novelist Rebecca Bradley‘s gripping new thriller, Blood Stained, the first of brand-new series in a three-book deal.

Managing editor Emma Grundy Haigh acquired world English-language rights from Hannah Weatherill at Northbank Talent Management. Blood Stained will publish in e-book and paperback in spring 2021. Film and TV rights are being handled by James Carroll at Northbank Talent Management.

The Sheffield-set crime series features the ambitious DI Claudia Nunn. In Blood Stained, the straight-laced detective is confronted with a devastating dilemma when her father’s wife, an undercover cop, goes missing: clear his name or face up to the fact that her father could be a murderer.

Rebecca Bradley was medically retired from the police after fifteen years of service, finishing as a detective constable on a specialist unit. She has since been writing full time, and is the author of the successful self-published DI Hannah Robbins series. She is also the host of the Virtual Crime Book Club. Outside of the crime world, she lives in Northern England with her family and two cockapoos, and drinks copious amounts of tea.
