Hodder to publish From Crime to Crime by former high court judge Sir Richard Henriques

27/01/2020

Rupert Lancaster at Hodder & Stoughton has acquired World English rights to From Crime to Crime from Northbank non-fiction agent Martin Redfern.

Former high court judge Sir Richard Henriques has been centre stage in notorious cases including 106 murder trials. He prosecuted Dr Harold Shipman, the UK’s most prolific serial killer, and the killers of James Bulger. He became a judge in 2000, and has presided over cases including the transatlantic airline terror plot, the Morecambe Bay cockle pickers, and the killing of Jean Charles de Menezes. He sat in the Court of Appeals on the appeals of Barry George, then convicted of murdering Jill Dando, and Jeremy Bamber, the White House Farm killer. He was brought out of retirement last year to produce a report on Operation Midland.

From Crime to Crime is an inside account of the 16 most interesting cases in which Sir Richard was involved, offering not only an insight into the workings of the British criminal justice system, but also the human drama that accompanies a high-profile case.

Hodder will publish From Crime to Crime in Summer 2020.
