Camilla Cavendish’s Extra Time to be published by HarperCollins

11/01/2019

We are delighted to announce that Camilla Cavendish‘s Extra Time: Ten Lessons for an Ageing Society will be published on 2 May by HarperNonFiction.

In this groundbreaking investigation, award-winning journalist Camilla Cavendish explores the dramatic demographic shift facing the Western World. By 2020, for the first time in history, the number of people aged 65 and over will outnumber children aged five and under. But our systems are lagging woefully behind this new reality. Travelling across the world in a carefully researched and deeply human investigation, Cavendish contests many of the taboos around ageing. Interviewing leading scientists about breakthroughs which could soon transform the quality and extent of life, she sparks a debate about how governments, businesses, doctors, the media and each one of us should handle the last third of life.

HarperNonFiction publisher Ed Faulkner bought UK & Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Northbank Non-Fiction agent Martin Redfern.

Extra Time is available for pre-order now.
