Notes on My Family, Emily Critchley‘s debut, has been chosen as the Sunday Times Children’s Book of the Week.
Children’s Books Editor Nicolette Jones writes:
‘This exceptional young adult/crossover debut is the compelling, sharply observed story of a family in crisis told, in an understated narrative voice reminiscent of Mark Haddon or Harper Lee, by 13-year-old Lou’
Notes on My Family has garnered critical acclaim since its publication in October 2017. Critchley’s novel was longlisted for the Brandford Boase Award and shortlisted for Bristol Teen Book Award. A new adult edition was published by Everything With Words in July 2018.
