Kate Thompson signs two-book deal with Hodder

Kate Thompson, bestselling author of Secrets of the Singer Girls, has signed a two-book deal with Hodder & Stoughton. Editorial Director Kimberley Atkins acquired UK & Commonwealth rights, including Canada, and audio rights from Northbank literary agent Kate Burke.

Secrets of the Homefront Girls will be published in August 2019, while Secrets of the Lavender Girls will follow in 2020. Set in Stratford, in the heart of East London, the novels follow a cast of feisty women working in the Yardley factory supporting the war effort and surviving the horrors of the Blitz.
